Equality in our Setting

At Strawberry Patch we create a friendly happy environment that welcomes all families’ children and visitors valuing equality and diversity right to all.

Our setting is committed to anti discriminatory practice giving due regard to disability, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender, age and marriage and civil partnership, also referred to as the nine protected characteristics in the Equality Act 2010.

Our Aims:

  • To maintain a happy environment where diversity is not only welcomed but is celebrated and understood in order to reduce prejudices and discrimination.
  • To have an environment where children can enjoy and achieve reaching their full potential, recognising and celebrating individuality and uniqueness.
  • To sustain our open door policy where nobody feels anxious about the setting due to preconceptions and judgements against them.
  • To actively tackle any discrimination as well as increasing knowledge and understanding from anyone attending or visiting the setting.

Please read our Equality policy for up to date information on how we meet our aims.
